New York Fashion Week 2023 Street Styles
It’s the sounds of clicking shoes, heels and boots hitting the pavement. It’s the way they walk and talk the fashionista lingo as they pivot and pose for the cameras along the way to the next runway showcase. Fashion is King in New York this time of year. Fashion week wants to make you run down the streets high fiving everyone for mixing up couture with ready to wear for everyday looks with that feel good quality.
Conscious fashion connoisseurs aim for only the best during New York fashion week. Racing to catch up with high fashion models, public figures, stylists and professional photographers was no easy task. Some of the best names around chatted with us on their experiences and told us all about their style selections. Many mentioned comfort as their reason for their personal selection while others based their picks off of trending colors, classic cuts, and sustainability. We’re naming names and telling you all about it.
Quannah Chasinghorse and Cherokee Jack, both fashion models paused with us outside of the COS runway show giving us the 4-1-1 and thoughts behind their attire. Quannah raised awareness on sustainable selections and offered her shopping habit suggestions such as thrift shopping and supporting brands such as CHLOE. She also show stopped with her gorgeous accessories created by Native American rooted artists and brands genuinely made by tribal members. Cherokee Jack modeled his minimalist style for us that fit the scorching NY temperatures.
Yves Mark Chery famed fashion model and public figure stopped for a quick interview showing off his look picked by his stylist. Preppy, casual yet professional were the vibes he gave off as he pointed out the subtle details, for example how the vest layered on top of his collar long sleeve shirt yet still showed the buttons peaking through the top.
Be you and love what you wear. Handbags, handbags, handbags we couldn’t get enough. Dior and Gucci were popular names in that category, content creators and models alike had stylish selections to tell us about.
Heavy canvas, beaded and leather materials were top ranking picks. Medium sized shoulder bags swinging on shoulders were perfect. If it couldn’t get any better, it did. Men’s Magazine fashion director Daniel Lindstrom gave us insight on the Cos show and was wearing a prime example of business casual in neutrals for daytime NY summer heat. He wore linen and a light weight blazer. The rolled bandana worn around his neck gave balance to his ensemble layered with necklaces for a full yet subtle look.
Moving along, Oh Polly! and Cos were on everyone’s lips! Claire Henderson the co-owner of Oh Polly graced us briefly and we couldn’t be happier to know the fall collection was shown and will be released before Christmas. Cassie Paiva hands down an icon in the beauty blogging industry was present in full classic black with sheer and working it like a pro.
Did you see those earrings? She was posh and lovely as can be. Lastly we want it all from these two superstars. Eva Jarit and Alejandra Divo wore sexy sleek outfits in all black from Fashion Nova. They are brand ambassadors and reggaeton artists to watch out for. Hailing from Venezuela and Spain these two power houses came to rock it out. Check out the videos for more info.
